Find RAM slots info in Linux

Problem: How do I check RAM speed and type (line DDR or DDR2 or DDR3 or DDR4) without opening my server? I need to purchase RAM and I need to know the exact speed and type installed. How do I find out ram information from a shell prompt?

Display memory with all the detail (type, speed, slot name, etc)
# dmidecode -t memory
# dmidecode -t 17

Note: Both command will show the same output. 17 is using the DMI type. for more info about DMI type please refer to HERE and HERE.

To check the Memory speed
dmidecode --type 17 | grep -i speed

List all memory slots
# dmidecode -t memory | grep -i size
