Setting NTP Client

Assalamualaikum,

Di bawah adalah cara-cara configurasi ntp untuk server yang penggunakan operating system solaris, linux, dan windows

Solaris – Configure NTP

Solaris 10
1) cp /etc/inet/ntp.client /etc/inet/ntp.conf (just copy and paste…)
2) komenkan statement ni “multicastclient 224.0.1.1” dalam /etc/inet/ntp.conf jadi “#multicastclient 224.0.1.1”
3) tambahkan satu line (bawah atau atas…suka-suka hati) statement ni “server 10.21.71.53”
4) svcadm enable ntp (just copy and paste…)
5) ntpq -p (akan nampak output NTP synconization eg:offset and etc)
6) kena tentukan berapa kali server ni nak get time update to server dan buat crontab (recommended is 12 jam..)
7) run crontab -e (dalam vi mode) dan add kat statement di bawah

0 12 * * * ntpq -p

Solaris 8, 9
1) cp /etc/inet/ntp.client /etc/inet/ntp.conf
2) /usr/lib/inet/xntpd
1) /etc/init.d/xntpd stop
2) vi /etc/inet/ntp.conf
2) komenkan statement ni “multicastclient 224.0.1.1” dalam /etc/inet/ntp.conf jadi “#multicastclient 224.0.1.1”
3) tambahkan satu line (bawah atau atas…suka-suka hati) statement ni “server 10.21.71.53”
4) /usr/lib/inet/xntpd

linux – Configure NTP

1) yum install ntp
2) /sbin/chkconfig ntpd on
3) /etc/init.d/ntpd start
4) vi /etc/ntp.conf
5) tambahkan satu line “server ntp.server.com” atau masukkan ip server ntp. contoh “server 10.21.71.53”
6) save and exit
7) /etc/init.d/ntpd restart

Windows 2000 – configure NTP
—————————-
1) Open Command Prompt (cmd)
2) net time /querysntp
3) net time /setsntp:time.sirim.my
4) net stop w32time && net start w32time
